Powell's Grocers - Sedbergh

Powell's stock a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables alongside cheeses and delicatessen items. They pride themselves in being able to get hold of anything. A comprehensive delivery service is on offer and a friendly and helpful service in the shop.

Where possible, fruit and vegetables are seasonal and locally sourced. Martin deals directly with growers to ensure the best fresh quality produce.

Coffee beans by Fairtrade, Suma and Tchibo can be bought and ground in the store. A variety of quality fruit juices are available alongside Fentimans and Belvoir sparkling drinks. A wide range of herbal teas are also stocked.

For those with a sweet tooth, Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding, Sticky Ginger Pudding and Sticky Chocolate pudding are on offer along with Green and Blacks chocolate and quality biscuits.

Sedbergh produced SarahM chutneys, jams and fruit cakes provide a real local flavour and a wide range of honeys are available.

A good selection of cheeses, including a range of Wensleydale and blue cheeses can be found at the delicatessen counter.

Powell's also stock Suma organic products: soya spread, pasta, soups, dried fruits, nuts, cereals and grains. Epicure goods include pates, pulses and a variety of other high quality products.

Bakers will find a good selection of Doves organic flour whilst cooks will find a wide range of fresh and dried herbs and spices and duck fat for those crispy roast potatoes.
